I first fell in love with weaving as a child, when my mother bought me a toy loom from IKEA. That same loom came with me to art school, where I experimented with woven installations and sculptures.
After at school, I started to explore tapestry weaving. At the time I struggled to find accessible resources that I could learn from, and so I developed my weaving skills from old books and from trial and error.
I've now been weaving full time for the last decade, specialising in tapestry and rug weaving. Most of my work is to commission, and I've worked with interior designers to produce textiles for homes around the world. You can view more of my work on my website here.
I started teaching online in 2019 with my Geometric Weaving online course. Since then I have developed several further courses, and I'm always coming up with new ideas!
I fell in love with weaving because although it's a craft that can be slow and painstaking, it's also full of a wealth of possibilities just below the surface. And the further I go with weaving, the more I realise how much there is to learn.
